Tank of Gas, Sunny Day, playin Two New DG Courses...Priceless

Packed up the car at 10am friday morning
pointed due south
with warmer skies, greener grass and DG on the mind.
Sherwood Island Open PDGA C-tier, 2x NEFA Pts event
a temporary course
on the oldest State Park in Ct.
was the headliner of the weekend's festivities
but as with most road trips...
its the journey to and from
that many of the memories are born.
First stop was Fairfield U.

Our Maine brethren, now Brooklynite Dlibzz
seen here releasing a big roller 2nd shot
after clippin' a tree off da tee
to get him a putt for 3... he missed.
But he did take down the most skins in our match.

The Fairfield course traversed the hillside campus
with every step a perfect place to
launch a disc, or create a safari hole.
A variety of baskets provided a unique challenge
and added mystique to this hidden gem in Fairfield County.

KRE saved his best drive for the 2nd to last hole.
That flick got 'em within 10 feet of the hole on 17...
for the push.
questionable foot placement, Kyle.

met up with this guy in a macDs parkin' lot
Dome was our noble navigator
not only showed us around
but also hit a 70fter 2 snag a few holes as well.
Word has it that several new baskets and tee signs
are on the way to FU.
Rumbles of a fall tourney r ripplin.
Thank You Fairfield U.

We said goodbye to Dome
as he headed off to work
but it was only 10 of 5 in the eve
so we meandered thru several residential side roads
to get in a late day round at Cranbury Park.
Heart of Frizzak nation.
Cranbury offered many technical shots off the tee
where safe got ya 3s but aggressive got
scores from 2 to 5.
12 ft fly pad tee boxes
and regal cranbury-finished baskets
made the round all that more comfortable.

A big dinner, Celtics win, and a good night sleep
seemed the perfect recipe.
tomorrow...
Sherwood Island Open, Westport, Ct.
